I am Geroge Wellers neighbor and I can assure there was no part of this mans’ mind or body the intentionally tried to hurt anyone that horrific day. My father, who is 80, went from a relatively good driver (I always thought he was a bit of a leadfoot…) to being almost completely incapable of following road cues, signs or reacting within a reasonable amount of time. i was just having a conversation with my dad the other day about driver re-education and americans’ (of any age) general unpreparedness for driving and our unfocused, nonchalant approach to operating a vehicle. I hope we all have the courage to accept our responsibility and asses our elderly drivers. We as old people feel that we should DRIVE!!!!
